Kerry Hurst

Kerry Hurst is our Founding Pastor and a man who seeks the face of God. Kerry grew up in Lorenzo, Texas, and went to Texas Tech University, graduated from McMurry University, and Asbury Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor of several Methodist Churches in our conference: Sudan, Gruver, founding pastor of Aldersgate Church in Lubbock, Childress, and Levelland. He also spent 25 years as salesman and store manager for Hurst Farm Supply (now South Plains Implement). He is a man of integrity who feels called to preach the gospel and make Christ known.
Kerry has been married to Kim since 1973 and they are the parents of three children: Kurt, Kassi, and Kelcee. They are Pop and Grana to four wonderful grandsons and enjoy being present at all their various activities.
